A year into the COVID-19 pandemic, Ugonna’s number one priority is getting our students back into the halls, fields, playgrounds, and classrooms of our schools where they can learn, play, and be kids again as soon as it is safe for teachers and students.
Across our schools, Beaverton’s students speak 94 different languages at home. Ugonna knows that when we listen to our neighbors and elevate new voices, we all do better.
All our students benefit when educators bring cultural awareness and different perspectives to their learning experience, inside and outside the classroom.
Ugonna will work to eliminate inequalities in our education system and ensure every student is provided with the tools they need to be successful in the classroom and beyond.
